Two Bedroom Holiday Cottage

Spacious lounge with beamed ceiling and traditional log burning stove (an initial supply of fuel is provided). Tastefully decorated and furnished and contains a piano, TV, DVD, video player and wi-fi access.
Full central heating and double-glazing
Entrance porch area with grit stone flag floor, ideal for storing coats and wet boots.
Large farm style dining kitchen with fully fitted units. Well equipped with hob, oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Slate floor, pine and oak beams.
Large attractive double bedroom with exposed roof trusses and an external door to the patio area.
Twin bedroom has a beamed ceiling.
Bathroom and WC / Separate shower room and WC.
Shared launderette facilities.
The sunny patio has furniture and a barbecue.
Ample parking. Linen and towels provided. Cot and high chair are available.

 Verified Welcoming Peak District Cottage Maigold is a lovely warm homely cottage, very well equipped and clean. The location is excellent with many of the Peak District towns, walks, and attractions within a short drive away, or from the door! The information provided in the cottage is very useful, from cycle hire to how to work the microwave - all adding to a relaxing stay. Although separate from the cottage, the washing/ drying facilities are also very useful and easy to use. We had a very cosy evening with the log burner on, good way to make the best of any bad weather!

 Verified Go to Maigold Cottage. Maigold Cottage - a delightful well appointed cottage in the Derbyshire Dales. Everything you will need in the cottage - beds very comfy - good size bedrooms. Lounge very spacious - shower room and bathroom a joy to use! Plenty of local leaflets - maps - books and jigsaws! Laundry room with dryer if needed. Outside seating and good parking. Lovely view in a quiet location. I enjoyed a very restful holiday with friends and a dog. Do not hesitate to book yourselves in!! Thoroughly recommend it.

 Verified Gorgeous Peak District weekend at Albertine Barn A group of 5 of us stayed in Albertine Barn for a long weekend. We had a wonderful time - the barn is cosy and characterful, with gorgeous views from the lounge and outside seating area across the dale and hillside. There are lots of beautiful walks on the doorstep - we especially loved the Monsal Dale walk by the river. Brian and Julie live just across the yard and were very helpful, being on hand with any queries we had. I fully expect we'll be back!

 Verified Lovely comfortable cottage to explore the Peak District This is a really wonderful holiday cottage which is thoughtfully equipped with anything on needs for a comfortable home away from home. It is very quiet and in a perfect position to explore the Peak District. The spacious sitting room with its log burning stove was a comfortable place to spend time - even when the weather is not particularly warm or dry. Brian and Julie are excellent hosts and always responsive to any enquiries. We will definitely return.

 Verified Brilliant get away We enjoyed the most wonderful stay in Maigold cottage. Lovely large, comfortable rooms, fully equipped with everything you could need. Very clean and well maintained, really comfortable beds. Brian and Julie were fantastic hosts who made us very welcome.

 Verified A real gem Spacious and comfortable cottage with everything needed for a holiday in the Peak District. Perfect for walkers. Some walks from the doorstep and lots of others within 10 to 30 minute drive. Delightful owners. Highly recommended. We will be returning next year.
